I am now a student studying Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Looking back on my time at Harrow, I am most grateful for the opportunities I had to explore the things I was curious about and to share those interests with others. Over the years, science and technology became a much bigger part of my life, not just through the classroom but through the projects, clubs, and people around me.
From 2021 to 2025, I was involved in the Robotics Club as Lead Coach and worked with the CS Department as a Digital Leader. I had the opportunity to guide our Prep robotics teams and prepare them for several city-level First LEGO League competitions, achieving a fourth-place finish in one tournament. I also helped set up and run the first version of our 3D Printers Room, where I managed materials and machines while helping younger students and teachers learn everything from slicing and printing to troubleshooting failed prints.
Some of my favourite memories, however, are not necessarily the competitions or projects themselves, but the peers and tutors I worked with along the way. Teaching someone how to solve a problem, seeing a project finally work after several failed attempts, or staying behind after class to discuss a question that had caught my interest are experiences that I will remember long after leaving Harrow.
I am also especially thankful to the teachers who encouraged my curiosity and gave me the confidence to pursue it. Thank you to Mr. Metcalfe for sparking my interest in physics, Mrs. Edwards for guiding me through the challenges of maths, Dr. Hewitson and Mr. Zaidi for deepening my interest in computer science, and Mr. Bennetts and Ms. Huang for your constant encouragement and guidance.
I leave Harrow with a much clearer idea of what I enjoy, many treasured memories I will carry with me, and plenty more things I want to learn. I am excited to see where that curiosity takes me next.
