Extra-Curricular Activities

At Harrow Shanghai, learning extends well beyond the classroom. With over 160 extra-curricular activities, pupils have opportunities to discover new interests, develop their talents and challenge themselves in different ways.

Our programme brings together sport, music, drama, creative activities, academic enrichment, technology and service. Whether pupils are pursuing an established passion or trying something for the first time, we encourage them to participate fully, persevere and enjoy learning something new.

All Harrow teaching staff contribute to the ECA programme, sharing their expertise and interests beyond their classroom subjects. They work alongside an established group of external providers, whose specialist knowledge adds further breadth to the opportunities available.

Pupil-led activities are an important part of our provision. With staff support, pupils take responsibility for planning and delivering sessions, developing their communication, organisation and leadership skills while contributing to school life.

Harrow Plus extends our ECA provision from 4pm, offering a later strand of activities for pupils to further explore their interests and develop their skills beyond the main ECA session.

Our wider programme includes Harrow Horizons Saturday activities, alongside winter and summer camps. Delivered by external providers who also contribute to our regular ECA programme, these offer further opportunities for pupils to develop their interests and enjoy purposeful learning beyond the school week.

Across our provision, the aim is to help pupils find what excites them, build confidence and develop skills and relationships that they carry into other areas of their lives.
